Eatinig MoMo in Nepal is perhaps the most popular gastronomical activity in Nepal. What Mc Donald’s is for Americans, MoMo is for Nepalese. MoMo has its origins in Tibetan MoMo which again has its origin in Chinese dumpling. MoMo is eaten usually as afternoon snacks although it is also preferred as lunch and dinner.

How to make MoMo?

MoMo made of buff, chicken meat or veg is more common. To prepare MoMo is quite easy: What you need is flour, salt, baking powder (optional) with oil, onion and garlic added to taste.  MoMo is cooked by direct steam heat and is served with delicious spices or chutni. MoMo comes in both round and elongated shape and a plate consists of 10 MoMo dumplings.
